Long Chair

An artwork entirely handcrafted by DutyGorn using reclaimed materials, the same wood strips and fir boards often employed to build the frames for his canvases. Each element is coated with wood filler and resin, then refined with artisanal care, turning reuse into a practice of creation and regeneration.
The seat offers the comfort of a broad surface while reflecting a vision shaped by the surrounding environment. The inspiration comes from the nearby landscape of concrete buildings, modern architecture defined by sharp cuts, clean geometric forms, essential lines, and the interplay of reinforced concrete and glass. Its vibrant colors and strong contrasts also echo these urban surroundings, from the rhythm of architecture to the language of road signs and the glow of city lights. The result is an object that exists both as artwork and functional furniture, an almost site-specific intervention that enters into dialogue with its space.
