Thought sundown

Thought sundown acrylic different layers of canvas 76×103 cm – 2023
“Thought Sundown” plays with the deconstruction of the face and the multiplicity of perception. The image is broken into layers: three canvases are superimposed on a main base, each showing fragments of a face — a vivid, hypnotic eye, the curve of a nose, a sharp, glowing smile. Primary colors — red, blue, yellow — clash in energetic contrast, creating visual tension.
The eye, central in both vision and meaning, reflects a light that feels like an inner sunset — a thought fading or igniting at dusk. The raised canvases add depth and disrupt the linear reading, evoking fragmented thoughts and shifting identity. This is not a static portrait — it reshapes itself in the viewer’s gaze, like emotions and memories that flicker as the day ends.
